Hi Jody, Master Sgt. John P. Sutera enlisted in the Army. After his technical training was sent to Bassingbourn England and did not return to the United States until the war ended in 1945. John was Crew Chief of the Ack Ack Annie that had survived 143 missions with a total of 31 different pilots. Eventually the aircraft was dispatched south to Kingman Arizona where she waited in the sun with other fortresses to be scrapped and melted down. Phyllis, John's sister
