Garland's Crew Factoid - This crew arrived at Bassingbourn as a replacement crew on or about 10 April 1945. The crew's only mission was on 21 April 1945 to Munich Germany in "Little Patches" to bomb the marshalling yards. 2nd Lt. George R. Lucas and Sgt. Thomas M. Jones did not fly the mission. 1st Lt. Walter B. Garland flew as co-pilot and an experienced pilot, Jack Walker, flew as pilot. The 401st was on stand down on 25 April 1945, the last mission for the 91st Bomb Group.
