The Biggest Bird Factoid - This crew flew this aircraft on the final combat mission of the Eighth Air Force, which was to Pilsen, Czechoslovakia on 25 April 1945. The bombardier, Lt. Wyszynski did not fly on this mission and T/Sgt. Libby flew as Togglier. Another gunner replaced Libby in the ball turret. Due to extensive anti-aircraft damage, the crew was forced to land in friendly terrirtory in Germany where the aircraft was later salvaged.
