Betty Lou's Buggy Factoid - According to the grandson of Lt. Malvik, the aircraft was named after Lt. Malvik's wife, Betty Lou. According to the granddaughter of Terry Colman, Elizabeth Palmer, Terry served from 1942-1945. He completed 25 missions and was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
S/Sgt. Shanks transferred from the 401st Squadron to the 324th 1 May 1944. He received an Oak Leaf Cluster to Air Medal.
